Harry M. Cunningham----Director
In his 30th & final season as the NEW CASTLE MUSIC CLUB Chorus director, Harry Cunningham was retired after 40 years as a music instructor and choral director in the MONITEAU SCHOOL DISTRICT in north central Butler County.  He and his wife, the former Carol Walls of New Castle, are both 1970 undergraduate alumni of INDIANA UNIVERSITY of PENNSYLVANIA; Harry received his master of music education degree from DUQUESNE UNIVERSITY, Pittsburgh, in 1976.  
During the 1970s, Harry served as the organist and choir director of the WEST SUNBURY UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH in West Sunbury, PA and as the organist at the FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH in Butler, PA.  From 1980-1985, he was the organist and choir director at the ST. PAUL’s UNITED CHURCH of CHRIST in Butler, and since September, 1985, Harry has served as the senior choir director at the FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH in Butler.  He was also the assistant director for the BLAZING STAR CHORAL SOCIETY of Butler.
Harry is a former member of the NATIONAL EDUCATION ASSOCIATION, the PENNSYLVANIA STATE EDUCATION ASSOCIATION, and was a two-term vice president of the MONTIEAU EDUCATION ASSOCIATION.  He also belonged to the MUSIC EDUCATORS’ NATIONAL CONFERENCE and the PENNSYLVANIA MUSIC EDUCATORS’ ASSOCIATION.  He currently is a retired member of the AMERICAN CHORAL DIRECTORS’ ASSOCIATION and the ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN KODALY EDUCATORS and has been newly listed as a Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition  "professional music" member.
The Cunninghams are parents of a daughter and a son, and they have three grandchildren.
